Detailed information

  1. The price of our workshops includes tuition, accommodation for two nights at Suffolk Cabins, breakfast boxes containing locally sourced produce (please advise in advance dietary requirements) and light lunches at the Forge cafe.
  2. Courses will need a minimum of 5 to be viable & will not exceed 12 participants.
  3. Our first weekend workshops are scheduled for 15th – 16th March and 6th – 8th April 2018.
  4. Our first third age is scheduled work shop for Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th April.
  5. The workshops will not normally include paints, supports or brushes as most artists at whatever level usually prefer their own equipment.  If you are really stuck and are not sure what to bring or unable to bring anything at all, then just give us a call ahead of time and we’ll do our best to help you.
  6. Along with your painting materials please remember to bring supports, either canvas or board. The size should not be too large somewhere around 25 x 40 cm (10 x 16 inches).  To speed things up, it would be really helpful if you are bringing a board, that it should be primed with gesso or white emulsion.  For some projects we will be working with pastel on paper in which case the materials will be supplied, unless of course you have your own and wish to bring them.
  7. As painting can be a messy business, it almost goes without saying that you will need old clothes an apron or whatever to work in, but you knew that anyway!
  8. Evening meals.  Sadly it is not possible for us to cater for you in the evening, but there are two reasonably priced and good pubs to go to, one of which is the Four Horse Shoes and is within walking distance. The White Horse is a little further away and we do suggest that you drive.  Alternatively we can point you in the direction of The Dineindulge Private Chef Service who offer an affordable service that brings the restaurant to you.
